i've got research to do and installation mockup to do for 3d , art history presentation to do and 2d conceptualizing collage to do, foundation drawing hmwork to do, and reading up to do

n i haven complete one.......it's a crazy scale of 6/10 !!

screwed up last fri's presentation even after all the researching and stuff...so much for skipping film lecture =/


it's only the 2nd wk...n somehow, i find the load overwhelming. hais.


my pants are getting tighter, i am beginning to feel like leonard.

this morning, i was on the way to bras basah when 2 japanese/korean guys came up and asked me for direction:

guy1: escuse me, we want chipotao, u know?
me: sorry? ( i thought i heard eat grapes, chi pu tao LOL)
guy1: chipotao, (begin to do some funny gestures)
me: err, maybe u wanna show me which one r u talking about (he was holding on to a map)

guy2 came in

guy2: we want chipotal, here the chipotao...very very expensive ( i suppose he's talking about intercontinental)
guy2: chipotal...to stay....not expensive..

me: ORHHHHHH CHEAP HOTEL!!!!! ....(wah lau, chipotao chipotao..i thought u guys wanna eat grapes early in the morning)

so me pointed to some summerview hotel somewhere opposite fulushou....not sure if it's cheap but definitely cheaper than intercontinental.

so funny. well ok, maybe only i think so.


lol, alright. back to work.

new term.

just finished painting hall banner. 10pm alr...there goes my few hrs. Despite i gt to rush a research for friday's presentation. i m stil in a nua mode. still excitd abt my fridge hahahaha thanks to nono who helped me pick up the fridge!!
hahaha.

tonight marks the begining of sleepless nights.

3d concept gt rejected. =( ( shoox! that reminds me that i m supposed to redo n show him tmr! fuke)

with school started, i am once again, piled by presentations and projects. as phil commented " whats with lecturers and final projects, final final and final final final projects on the beginning of term"

yupyup, first week was bombarded with projects and research presentations that due before cny, thus this yr's cny will probably seems extra joyous and worth looking forward to. roam about cemeteries...old and new hdb estates..geylang...
transportation cost me alot last wk.

Last weekend was spent going to stpi at robertson for an exhibition by an indian artist. it's quite a cool place as artists who's going to hold an exhibition there will do their to-be-exhibits at the place itself..and will have a room to stay so as to allow them to work 24/7, whenever inspirations come. Before that, phil, kwoko and me went chintown, keong saik street to shoot
more redlight houses..haha that day was more like a eating outing, we walked alot, eat alot. first, breakfast @ macdonalds > bread n coffee at toastbox and as if we haven had enough, that 2 went on to eat wantan mee in sunshine plaza.


visited the Gos on sunday, baby corbin is soooo adorable...hehe small man with strong lungs! he can really wail ! hahaha uncle and aunty go, enjoy mummydaddy-hood eh?!

class schedules are hectic...i thought without literature, i can get away with critical analysizing! who knows...this time nd to critic film!! arghh...but lastweek's bollywood movie was quite nice =) "monsoon weddin" u guys shd check it out!

i hope i can drag myself to cityhall national library tmr/wed before/after school to do research...damn those reference books =/

thursday ha! little thing to look forward to, going national museum to draw the Greek masterpiece frm the Louvre...i think it'll be worth going to...even if one is not doing arts.

hope it will be free. =X

eve of 2nd sem

i am back in hall alr but got the urge to go town tmr =/

this holiday haven been working. am quite annoyed with the fact that i m asking money from small cow the entire holiday.
i didn't want to get extra cash from him during holidays. i feel bad and worst. i applied a job in sch...a part of me hope i'll get the job, another part of me pray that i can survive with this additional load, knowing the nature of my course.

friday night saw me, fen and prene went for a long awaited bowling session at OCC. thanks guys for entertaining me at 12 midnight! =) we shall go on the 13th again yeah?!

m kinda tired to do typing...gt alot of pics to post.....but think will post together when i get pictures frm the official photographer of my class...60GB of pics for last sem....lol wtf.

first post of the year

was chatting with mingtien just nw and he politely reminded me that it will be the 24th year on planet earth for us. (mt: if u r reading this..thank you. arbish)

well, hello 24 then. no resolutions for me...making new yr resolutions are merely there to make u feel guiltier at the end of the yr.

instead of talking abt how i wanna change in this yr for the better with whatever-thats-crap-since-forever-and-yet-still-as-crap-til-today , i rather look back at what happened yesterday -2007.

last yr was a turning pt. i decided to take the local toilet paper plunge at the age of 23 where most 19yr olds jc kids go.
the change in environment and lifestyle is quite challenging. but at this pt of time, i am glad that finally i m doing what i've always wanted -this time, for myself. (although i have decide what i want to be, at least, i am in touch with this area).
Sure, it can be really mentally and physically draining..assignments/project u rushed out w/o sleep/rest may end up as load of crap in the eyes of the boss. but still, i always remind myself that these works are still the efforts i made, without feeling guilty of nt doing my best. i still hope that demoralisation in me will nt work it's way up....

although initally or rather till nw i don't really feel great as my results ain't impressive and i most prob sits at the bottom of my class. but yet, some part of me feel glad that i make it through this long sem and i enjoyed and appreciated the things i did during the 3 mths -those things which i nv thought i will do and will nv be able to do if i haven gone back to sch haha thanks to projects.

my classmates are bunch of irritating jokers, stirers with endless self-cooked-up scandals in class. it's funny hw we work and play and fight the power, see the invisible, do the impossible rawr rawr rawr (quote kwokos)

as much as i hate soapy appreciation lines... but

i m really grateful to pple at granny's... esp uncles, honey n amah and brothers...well, thats all the pple haha
i think i'll be their slave in my next life hahahaha.

thanks for allowing me to take the plunge at ur expenses ( also, literally)

friends ard me are at another stage of their life...dearest eddice has officially become a mommy! congrats to the Gos on handsome lil' corbin! sorry dardar, recently having flu...can't visit u but i'll try to be there on the 13th of Jan. =]

just gt the photos that i took today from subi when we were clearing the her 4d final project in S3...

it is not a comfortable feeling when people ask u how many papers u have n when u told them 2, they go, chey!
sometimes, i would wish that i can chey myself too but...having a final project presentation4 days after a paper and only 2 days of weekend left to squeeze time for a portfolio consisting of essay..piles of postcards, a bank of images and technical vocab stuff and a history paper which is happening on the same day.........ain't that easy either. =(

anyway, 4d final presentation wrapped up finally at 10pm on friday, with me screwing up my presentation and screwing up everyone's time by overrunning...... sort of regretted documenting it with video, as i know nuts abt it, no thanks to mr lotus that submission is tuesday...great, my paper ends at 730pm on monday, guess it's another sleepless night for me until tuesday............

using my nv-seen-before-dear-late-grandfather's letters...and shoot the main theme of the letter.
it was hell damn difficult. my photo sux.
conceptual photog is difficult. why r interesting things so difficult.

oh i m suppose to shoot abt 30. i m at photo no. 3. hw nice woohoo..friday! wheeeeeee~~

projects aside, i sat down alot of times, it is quite interesting and sort of heartwarming that even if i have nv seen my grandfather in person, hear his voice or felt his grandfather's sayang...but i am able to hold something he touched and read something he read (though i can't really make out the harrypotter's handwriting in many of the letters). and some documents which have pictures of the younger him..17...20 plus..30 plus...50plus....

letters said alot. burdens were alot. so were obligations.

ah gong was an active man. i believe he was a nice chap..cos he won ah mah's heart and let me have nice uncles and aunties and nt to forget the mummy as well.

i appreciate the fact that i like old things.

Making Another Turn

LOL, I know it has been quite awhile since I last blogged coz' have been quite bz and getting on till I did'nt do any updates of
the happenings the past half a yr....and heres the updates in brief (nt in order):

1. Yup, I am still with the same co. which I had last updated in the previous few entries...
2. I plan, reserve, invite for my own birthday (which i haven done for the longest time) and even order my own cake. LOL
I luv the experience thou. I hope they enjoyed it =]
3. I've finally went on a great bowling session with my uncle (the last time I bowled with him, I was only 10.) Treated him a lil' Crystal Jade dinner and I felt so happy! ...little things count.
4. I've finally remarried .....to an apple (Goodbye Toshiba, Hello Mac)
5. I've attended my first DnD. It was a daymare/nightmare.
6. I've gt my nintendo ds Lite.
7. I've rebooked my Advanced Theory - 3rd August 8pm. (Kindly remind me, whoever gt the book pls lend it to me)
8. I've become rounder.
9. I've gt myself a place in NTU.
10. I've got no idea what to do now.
